Tuesday, March 08 2016 International Women’s Day , Kathy participated in The Women in Transition seminars at The Council on Aging of Ottawa. A room filled with fabulous women of all ages! A great day.

January 27, 2016 Kathy was the guest speaker at the Revera Region One Community Marketing Managers quarterly meeting. Lunch was sponsored by Turner Transitions and everyone went away with more transitions knowledge for their valued clients , and happily fed !

January 21, 2016 Kathy was one of a few invited guest speakers to share in her knowledge and experience about downsizing and moving to 50 attendees at the beautiful Williams Court, Kanata Lakes Apartments. A very informative and successful afternoon .


Kathy Turner is a guest speaker at The Chartwell Empress Kanata on March 29, 2015 between 1p.m. and 4p.m. for The Chartwell National Open House day. Kathy will be speaking on transition services with respect to seniors and their families.


On Saturday, March 14, 2015, Kathy volunteered (for the 13th year in a row) as a Saint Patrick’s Day Judge for The Irish Society. Congratulations to all the participants who put so much effort into making this a memorable and happy parade! It was a cold dreary day, but music, dance and laughter kept everyone warm!


The West Ottawa Board of Trade is an exceptional independent organization recognizing and supporting excellence in our business community. On February 26, 2015, Kathy Turner attended the “People’s Choice Business Awards.”

A special congratulations to Ottawa’s Dave Smith for winning “Citizen of the Year,” and for all he does to improve the quality of life for others (The David Smith Youth Treatment Centre Foundation). Congratulations to ALL who were nominated!


On February 20, 2015, as a proud Director of the Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation Board, K. Turner Transitions attended the generous ONE MILLION DOLLAR donation to the Acute Care for the Elderly Unit by Mr. and Mrs. Hank Mews and family.

This part of the hospital should be operational in the next 18 months . It will be a centre of excellence improving the quality of life for our valued seniors. Thank you to the Mews family for being such amazing community leaders .


How fortuitous to have had the opportunity to speak on “Bell Lets Talk Day” to a full house at the beautiful First Unitarian Congregation in Westboro on Transition Services and Senior’s Mental Health. Thank you to Paula Theetge and Carolyn Turner for introducing me to such a kind and supportive environment. It was indeed a well received conversation in Fellowship Hall. Can’t wait to go back ! Many Thanks to all who attended.

On Saturday, November 22, 2014, Kathy was a guest at the Black Tie Bingo Fundraiser hosted by The Eldercare Foundation of Ottawa. This event raised over $50,000.00 to help seniors in our community. Over 400 people gathered for an evening of excellent food, networking, and the opportunity to win spectacular prizes by playing in Ottawa’s first black tie bingo. On November 19, 2014, Kathy teamed with Realtor, Paula Maloney, to raise funds for the Ottawa Food Bank. They presented on the topic “Steps to Successfully Downsizing” at the Canterbury Community Centre.


Kathy Turner, Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation Director (in photo with J.
